I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

When I've has to fill those forms out, I've printed it out, signed it and the scanned it in and emailed it back rather than post it. Granted I'm in the UK but they should still accept it.

I've got to say I think some of zavvi's latest announced steelbooks are poor choices to get the steelbook treatment.

Is it possible to change a payment method once an order has been placed, as my debit card is due to expire prior to release date?

This is not possible, but upon release date, if and when your payment fails you should be given an option to resolve this by inputting new card details.

Hope this helps.

I actually JUST had the same issue with Zavvi. I used my debit card through PayPal. If your payment does not go through, they will just continue to try (every couple of days) taking the payment from the same source. I was never given the chance to make a payment using a different payment method. I tried making a valid card my preferred payment method on Zavvi's site... didn't work. I tried putting money into my PayPal hoping it would take the payment from my balance...didn't work. I sent them query after query asking if I could just pay direct with a different card or if they could take the payment from my PayPal balance. They told me that once an order has been submitted, they can't change it and that I would have to cancel my existing order and order again. Didn't matter that (at the time) what was on my order were sold out items (Thor & WIR). Luckily, Thor went back on sale shortly after. I have to hope the same happens with WIR. Now, if you paid them directly with your debit card, it may be different, but if you used your card through PayPal, unfortunately you'll have to reorder. If you ordered steels that are still on sale, you might as well cancel now and reorder. If not, keep your eye out for them going back on sale. I hope it works out for you, buddy and I hope this helped. Sorry if I was the bearer of bad news...

Just had a liberating experience cancelling a load of Zavvi steelbook pre-orders. Seems pointless to pre-order and pay a premium, when a few weeks later there's still plenty of stock and price has dropped significantly.

I had that same pleasure just a few days ago...felt AMAZING!!!

you know when you send a message to Zavvi via the website - can they view the entire message thread? as I'm going round in bloody circles at the moment trying to get a problem resolved

Posted this in the relevant steelbook thread but thought I'd throw it up here as well. It saves me having to purchase the other release.

Hi Ben

Thank you for purchasing “The Wicker Man - The Final Cut - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook” on order number ********.

As you may already be aware when we first announced this title it was expected to be a 3 disc release containing extra cuts of the movie, unfortunately it has come to our attention that the product only contained a 2 disc version.

We have contacted the studio responsible for the release of The Wicker Man and arrangements have been made to send the missing third disc to you. As soon as we are ready to send these to you we will be back in touch.

Please accept our apologies for this error and any inconvenience or disappointment it may have caused.

Kind regards,
Zavvi Customer Service Team

You can see all messages sent from Zavvi to you in the Message Centre. If you will answer in this message centre, your messages will be stored together with Zavvi's messages.

As you cannot attach files (e.g. photos, PDF files) in the message centre, you will have to send these kind of messages as ordinary emails to [email protected] (e.g. photos of damaged items) or [email protected] (e.g. 'Non-Receipt of Goods' disclaimer forms).

At the same time I always give them a short note in the Message Centre (e.g. "Sent you an email to [email protected] with product photos").

um, I know I can see all messages, but I want to know if Zavvi can as they only seem to reply to my last message, ignoring anything said prior and even contradicting themselves!!

I'm going round in circles trying to resolve a credit problem!!
