Found 2 little Easter eggs on the disc with English on it.

From Play Movie press up to highlight the E in WALL-E.

From Set Up press left to select the circle in the bottom left corner.

I don't know if this has been addressed already (these threads are getting so long it's hard to keep up), but I recently got this along with Captain America: The First Avenger and I think the finish on the Steelbooks is absolutely fine. I was actually one of the people who were really disappointed when the live photos hit as well. For the record I've never had a real problem with matte finishes, but these feel almost satiny to me and don't have that kind of rough, brushed-metal sort of texture we've come to expect from matte Steelbooks. While they don't look amazing, they're still very good and I'm happy with them, but I do think the colours are too washed out. If anything, looks like the finish isn't a problem at all, but the intensity of the colours is.

The Lenticular is very nice looking has great depth and back artwork looks good after removing the numbered jcard

The Steelbook itself is not the best its has a decent looking artwork that could have looked amazing but simply its not due to number of factors
Problem is its let down with an low resolution image and the matte finish makes it worse if it had of been a gloss finish it would have improved it but even saying that its the image itself used that's the problem
If they had of used a higher quality image the problems with the gloss they had most likely would not have happened

The Steelbook having a 3 disc holder for a 2 disc release is a mistake and adds to the disappointment of this release

If you ignore the steelbook the package looks great but you cant do that as it is a steelbook release after all
If you ignore the steelbook the lenticular slip is amazing

Just because its a blufans release does not make this release better this has shown that with this release its very poor compared to previous blufans releases and the other releases in general

I say with ease even with the artwork Disney used for the Zavvi Release that the steelbook itself will be better looking overall to this blufans release especially with a gloss finish

The Blufans Wall-e Steelbook could have been amazing buts that's not what we got

The Good part about this release the Lenticular Slip and its Artwork

same opinion overall about the steel
with the right litgning/angle it is nice to look at (if you don't care about the finish) but when the light is weak it's pretty dull, weird looking steel
with a regular looking type of steel, a fully gllossy finish and the same colors, contrast etc than the visuel on the first post it would have been PERFECT(for me)

Seems to be the same story as the CA 1 BF release. Dozens of posts saying how good the lenticular slip is from people who keep it sealed and disappointed posts from people who have looked at the steelbook itself. Then there will be people who will say that is a good reason to keep it sealed. I don't know how that helps as deep down you will always know how disappointing it truly is.

Excellent review paul! I cancelled my zavvi walle Xbox, wasn't keen in investing £40 for some additional socks and sweets in a fancy box when I missed out on just the steel itself. I was debating to get the blufans and would be one of the collectors to open this. Are you aware of what finish the full slip one has?

I don't have the Full Slip
I only purchased the Lenticular Slip which is good quality as a Slip its glossy but its letdown by the steelbook itself

The Blufans steelbook itself its not what I expect for a Disney/Pixar in terms of quality is hard to explain photos can made it look better than it actually is
Matte Finish steelbooks sometimes can be good and can look great when embossing is used but that does not apply with this Blufans Wall-e Steelbook
Blufans Wall-e is a disappointment its matte finish and low resolution artwork is what makes this release a letdown

The Zavvi Wall-e will be a lot better finish than Blufans
The Blufans Wall-e Steelbook itself it looks very cheap in hand compared to previous Blufans Steelbooks and even Zavvi Disney/Pixar Steelbooks

I would not cancel the Zavvi Wall-e Steelbook in a million years as its going to be better quality finish with ease

Blufans Wall-e
Score out of 10
Lenticular Slip 8/10
Steelbook 4/10

Overall Package 5/10

If your only interested in a Lenticular or Full Slip then yes they look good and have the Wow factor but I cant say that for the steelbook itself

@paulboland

maybe this has been answered before so sorry if I ask a question which IMO has surely been answered.

But what is the deal with the Bonus Art Card to come separately and not included in the Slip as they usuallu do OR to add them in the Steel if there was not enough room in the slip...]]?

This must surely have been a Production issue either they realized there was not enough room in the slip(but the bonus cars are so thin for that little package I am sure this can't be it) to add them in the slip and decided to send them separately which I find ridiculous(but for sure there would be enough room to insert them in the steelbook itself). How can they forget to insert them in the steel if they realized the slip was not enough room to slip them in ?

The Lenticular Slip size is just enough to fit the steelbook
You could just about fit the Artcards in the slip but it will cause the slip to bulge a bit so its not recommended to do this

Due to unknown reason the inside of the steelbook is as 3 disc insert instead of been a 2 disc insert meaning it don't have the usual clips to that would hold a booklet or in this case the Artcards

1613984_10205860473371563_6168012341335470943_n.jpg

You can if you want put the Artcards inside the steelbook but they will be loose due to no clips to hold in place

They knew that lot of people will keep the steelbook sealed within the lenticular slip because of the disappointing quality of the steelbook and this gives you the opportunity to enjoy the artcards!!

I will open mine but every time I take out the steelbook from the slip I will tell the steelbook, "I'm ignoring you."
I have to agree with those who consider the steelbook a disappointment but still, overall, I'm glad to have this complete package.

But this is what I am puzzled about, whenever they make a release which most often have Bonus Art Card, they make the slip to fit both the steel and the art cards, why did they not do this here ? it can't be they just that forgot ?? and if it were again a Mistake, better to put them within the steel in that plastic enveloppe even if there is no clip...it doesn't make any sense for bonus card not to be sealed within a release.
