As most of you know, I am a HUGE horror movie fan and with Halloween just around the corner I am thinking of trying something new. 1 horror movie for every day in October. I'm not talking about doing double features so you can have a day off, I'm talking about 1 a day. Anyone else interested in trying this. I know some people prolly don't have the library (or the time) that I do so it might be tough. If you are interested in trying then mark your spot in this thread and come back every day and update it. I can't believe i convinced my bride to do this with me, hahaha. If you miss a day, don't feel bad, keep updating when you watch.

Kinda f**ked up this year. A little late starting thanks to a trip to Florida for Halloween Horror Nights.

seems i've been watching alot of newer flicks. I need to get a few more classics in before the end of the month but with so many cool titles coming to Blu it's hard to.

Tonights flick is one i've been anxiously awaiting to see, "Trick r Treat". I think I was disappointed in some aspects but in others I was quite happy with. The film isn't wuite what I expected I guess. All I knew is that there were 4 short stories all intertwined. They did a great job at resolving all of the stories but there was one question left in my mind at the end of it. Why was the little witch girl at THAT house? You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it I guess or maybe I got the house all mixed up. The film had a bit of a "Disney meets John Carpenter" feel to it which was actually kinda fun to watch. All in all i think this flick is great and it will become a halloween classic to be viewed each year for sure.

are you talking about the bus driver's house with all of the pumpkins?

since you brought it up, it does seem like that was the same house. but, i cant tell you for sure without watching it again. it doesn't really make any sense why she would have been coming out of that house, though. :dunno:

i need to check that scene again myself. i just assumed because when the busdriver came out his front door that once, all the jack-o-lanterns kinda freaked him out like they weren't there before.

Child's Play. simply awesome. I haven't seen this film for many years because I was waiting for a widescreen version to come out on VHS then DVD but it never did. It was released on Blu-ray last week and it looks incredible. I'd forgotten how great a movie this one was.

Watched "The Last Man on Earth" tonight. This is a 1964 take on the "I am Legend" story by Richard Matheson. Vincent Price is, as always, a delight to watch on film.

Watched the Canadian release (sorry my american friends) of Dead Snow tonight. AWESOME!!! Not only is this a great film but the Blu-ray looks GREAT. It also appears to be a very loud movie which is nice as well, haha. Anyhoo, here's hoping you guys get the same thing across the border...and soon.

I've never heard of Dead Snow before... what's it about?

I watched the Fly(1958 original with Vincent Price) and Mark of the Vampire with Bela Lugosi before bed.

I let Holly pick the flick today. We were actually at the Theatre today at noon to see SAW 6 but we misread the website. we thought it was on at 12:30 PM but actually it was playing at 12:30 am, haha. Anyway, she chose Sleepy Hollow. Not really what I would have picked but a great movie none the less.

i started a thread ove on the blu-0clan website a long time ago. it's a film about Nazi Zombies. kind of a horror comedy flick. and it's in Norwegian so if you're not into subs you won't care for it. Dead Snow Trailer

Sweet! thanks for the link, I'm definitely checking that movie out.

I know this is dumb but... I never really knew were Norway was. :emb:

say what??? hahaha.

Tonight's flick, Maniac (1980) Thanks to my cousin this movie will always be the horror flick that freaked me out in my childhood. After seeing this at a friend of his house back in the early '80's my parents had to deal with me making them stay up until i fell asleep every night, haha. I can remember laying in bed and seeinf the hall light go out and I'd yell, "I'M STILL AWAKE" and the light would come back on. I have since gotten over the feqar of this flick and it has become one of my all-time fav. slasher films. It's still damn creepy to watch and I'm not sure if that's because of the things it did to me when I was younger or if it's JUST THAT CREEPY.

Yeah, like literally a week ago I was thinking "Norway?... where the hell is that?" and I kept thinking it was an asian country or something. :emb: *hangs head in shame*

I have to thank a friend at work for this one. When she first told me about this flick I was a little sceptical since a strong wind could scare her on some days, lol. Anyway, as it turn out this movie is pretty cool and I find it hard to believe that I never saw it before. Based on a true story, aparently, it's a creepy little flick about a lady who is haunted by some sort of demon that keeps abusing and raping her. the subject sounds a little strong but it really is a great flick.
