Electronic Arts' reboot of the Medal of Honor series will be out this October, the publisher announced this morning.

The game, set in Afghanistan and with a realistic slant, will be out in the US on October 12. And Europe October 15.

Medal of Honor, the first game in the series to not take place between 1939-1945, looks set to fill a gap in the shooter market left vacant by Modern Warfare 2, when the latter tripped the light fantastic and became a Tom Clancy wet dream. It'll feature sand, terrorists being kicked out of windows, and beards. Magnificent beards.

Hmm actually looking forward to this one to some extent, im still worried its going to be another pew pew shooter.

I remember how much a letdown bfbc2 was, when I shot the sky and the bullets freezing into the skybox.. using a ballistic system that dates back to Unreal 1, (predates Unreal Tournament for the younger folks) is just pathetic to me.

Some of the wording of you being a tier 1 operator scares me into thinking there going the Fast Foward Power Ranger methodology of pew pew pew shooters... and away from at least some form of gun realism that Medal of Honor used to practice alongside the first two COD's before they went the way of power rangers.

Ah that's me though I know some of yall have different opinions on this then me, I started as a PC gamer and then became something in between.

Well anyway hers hoping the best.

Mang, this will only be out for one month and then comes COD Black Ops....

God I hope this isnt another MAG before BFBC2 ... as I mark for MOH series but dont know if I will have time for the two.... esp if Black Ops has zombies!

That was also the last one Infinity Ward did. They moved to Call of Duty after the first one...
