@virkia post got me thinking. There's one release none of us seem to have considered...

A proper steelbook release for Lilo & Stitch, instead of just the lenti release.

What do we think?

Yes, that was indeed a strange one with its first release tied in with the lenti re-releases of the others . . .

. . . that said, it's a very decent steelbook with great art, not bad finish and the lenticular is probably my favourite of all the others released at the same time.

Would be nice however to have the same artwork gloss varnished w/ embossed characters on surfboard and embossed title of course . . .
(the Disney Classics lenti steelbooks, if I remember correctly, were all in a zero finish with zero embossing)

. . . although I suspect we'd get a simpler image altogether - such as this one:-

PLEASE no more rereleases, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the Lilo and Stitch Steelbook we've got.

Folks can always take the lenti magnet off if they'd want it to match the others. When there's still so many great Disney movies left for release in Steelbook form (Oliver and Company, Song of the South, the Black Cauldron, Honey I shrunk the kids, Return to Oz, the Haunted Mansion, Home on the Range, Prep and Landing etc) I'd rather they focused on getting to new titles to flesh out our collections rather than rehashing the same old titles over and OVER again.

Most of us just want one good quality Steelbook for each title in our collection, not all of us want seven different steelbooks of Dumbo lol.

Oliver and Company and Winnie the Pooh next would be lovely

Winnie the Pooh is not on UK list "Disney Animated Classic".

My mistake:
Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music and Melody Time not have a Blu-ray release in UK. That's mean, not chance for a steelbooks.

Now, we can keep fingers crossed for:
Fun and Fancy Free
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Oliver and Company
Fantasia 2000
Home on the Range
Chicken Little
Winnie the Pooh The Wild

Winnie the Pooh is not on UK list "Disney Animated Classic".

My mistake:
Zavvi disney steelbooks is not purley based on the UK disney classic canon list of titles
Some of the disney steelbooks released have not been part of the UK disney classics list.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 1977 is a UK disney classic and available on Blu-ray in the UK ;)

Winnie the Pooh 2011 is a USA releaae only on Blu-ray and yes is not part of UK disney classic canon
DVD only in the UK

What counts for steelbook release is if a film has a UK Blu-ray releaae and not if it's from the UK disney classic canon

Any idea why the U.K. Does not include Winnie The Pooh and Dinosaur in their classics canon? Curious why and why include The Wild when it was only produced but not animated by Disney...any information Paul?

Dinosaur 2000 was a production by
Walt Disney Feature Animation and The Secret Lab and released by Walt Disney Pictures

Secret Lab used to be Dream Quest Images

Disney Europe and Disney USA are separate companies

Disney Europe decide what will be considered a Disney Classic Canon title for Europe

I really, Really want a Black Cauldron Steelbook.

On another note I have just picked up a brand new Emperor's New Groove for £20!
What a gorgeous Steel it is.
Absolutely made up would be an understatement. :)

is there a list with all steelbooks listing them in order of their spine number ("disney classic number") so i can see which titles have already been released and which are still missing?

I think (?) i have every steelbook to date in my collection ... but i'm actually not sure about some of the first ... and especially since some titles have been released multiple times ... it's getting confusing. ;)

or Black Cauldron!!

or Both Winniw the Pooh's in one!!

Or Fantasia 2000!!

eep, too many I want! lol
It won't be Black Cauldron as there has been no Blu-ray release

Winnie the pooh 2011 is not a disney classic in the UK
It also is DVD only in UK and has not had a Blu-ray release
Blu-ray release is USA only

Any Disney Classic steelbook release from UK retailers will be if a film has a Blu-ray release in the UK

The many adventures of winnie the pooh 1977 is a Disney Classic in the UK and has a Blu-ray release
