Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

I asked them how are Pre Order and other titles available on there Dutch site yet sold out on the UK site and are they separate print runs

Something wrong with Stargate and Aviator Available on Dutch Site yet sold out on UK Site

Are they really available on the Dutch site and if yes are they separate print runs to the UK if not separate print runs how are they available to order on the dutch site

This is important as steelbook collectors need to know if a release is really limited to 2000

This is a genuine error and will be corrected shortly.

The stock is limited and the sites will be put right to reflect this.

Well I received a dispatched email from them this morning for Lady and the tramp so.... either they are really ****ed up in their organization, or they really had limited stocks for these OOS steels...

Zavvi really are a sly company. There seems to be always something going on which is 'dodgy'. It's such a shame the UK doesn't really have a better alternative retailer for exclusives (Amazon would be better but don't think they're really bothered as they make their money elsewhere). Zavvi have been taking the mick for long enough now.

There is no way these 'ultra' limited less than 4k releases are true exclusives. Remember, the minimum run is 4k, so they will pop up elsewhere down the road. That is, unless the minimum has changed?

I tend to agree with him. Nothing's ever straight forward with Zavvi. From 'sold out' items turning up every few weeks to price cuts on items before they've even been delivered. They have without doubt the most frustrating company practises.

It is nothing new. Amazon reduce the prices of new steelbooks a couple of days after release ALL THE TIME. Not to mention skyfall. People make out amazon as the gods,dont get me wrong they are great but far from perfect. Like every company someone will always have a problem i find his "turn up someone else" pretty funny because that happened even before zavvi. They just sell steelbooks why is it so hard for people to understand that

Amazon have far better customer service compared to Zavvi. With Zavvi, it just feels like they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes time and time again. The evidence is out there so I won't drudge it all up again.

The titles are definitely tied together between the sites

12 hours ago titles like Aviator, Avengers and Stargate were on Page 1 and 2 on Zavvi.com even though they were sold out
Before this every day they were on Page 5
This shows that the number sold yesterday elevated the title up the list meaning same stock

In addition if these titles are pre orders. I am sure they will take the items out of their cancellations stock
