I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

I ordered Iron Man 3 steelbook along with agent carter bluray to get £5 off, then I got another £2 off with zapril10 code, then after iron man got dispatched I messaged them to cancel agent carter and they did :)

I know it's been asked before but I can't face scrolling through all the pages.

Is it actually possible to change zavvi payment details if say a card expires?

No it's not possible

When Zavvi try your expired card and payment fails they will send you a payment problem email
In the email will be a link to your account for that order to pay with a different card
Just wait till you get the payment problem email

If the item you want is still in stock it's best to re order using a new card instead and cancel after that the order with the expired card

It's Zavvi crazy system the only way to change method of payment for existing order is to wait for a payment problem email or to cancel and reorder

After a decent run of months with no Zavvi problems, I'm now having a bit of a mare. They have charged me for something over a week ago and still not sent it out. I messaged them and got some vague response about it being "stopped" at the warehouse (?) and when I asked how soon they would update me, I've just had the same reply back cut and pasted word for word! I've put up with their shenanigans up till now but stealing my money I don't accept.

If you feel they are not shipping your items within the retail laws of your country, you could always consider initiating a dispute via your credit card? Should obviously always be the last resort, especially if Zavvi customer service is not aware of reasons for warehouse delays (common among all retailers). Not sure if that would help here, but fyi if you are not aware.

Thank you. I did consider that but I could imagine a situation where the CC company then block Zavvi and I lose my pre-orders as we all know they are unable to update payment details on existing orders. Damn Zavvi exclusives...get you over a barrel!

I've messaged them through FB and someone is apparently looking into it now... we'll see...

Correct, glad someone has responded to you and is working on it!

Hi,

I have received my copy of Planet Earth today, only to find that the extra disc Planet Earth - The Future, was not included, as stated on your website previously, which has now been changed..
Reading through the thread: https://www.hidefninja.com/communit...h-blu-ray-steelbook-zavvi-exclusive-uk.75206/. This seems to be a real issue, and not a one off, so as the description of goods for sale does not match the website description of goods sold, as Zavvi are legally responsible to supply goods as described as per both UK Consumer Rights Act and European Consumer Rights Directive.. (Excerpt from Paul Boland's post #109 ).

The next question is how will Zavvi compensate the 1500 or so customers who have purchased this version, expecting the bonus disc to be a clinch for purchasing this version.
I can only see one of the following options, either supplying the required disc, or a monetary refund of x %, not a voucher, or an optional return and refund with P&P included, with the first option to be most important to the customer, I believe, unless anyone else can provide a alternative plan\options.

Thank you for taking time to reading this, and look forward to a positive response.

Suketu Sudra

I understand that, the volume of queries regarding this issue must be prodigious, but with no response from the retailer is extremely negative.
I understand that from the thread mentioned above, post no https://www.hidefninja.com/communit...-zavvi-exclusive-uk.75206/page-7#post-1701751 , that The Planet Earth DVD Special Edition (which contains some of the the content, can be sent as a matter of goodwill, to which I would be interested in, in opposition to having a spiraling annulling customers.

I would be grateful for some response, just even to acknowledge that the customer annotations are being read.

Regards

Suketu

I don't like to moan. However I am p&@£ed off. Placed an order by accident. Went to cancel 2seconds later and they tell me they can't. What us a kick in the jewels is they don't dispatch for 2 days!!!! This is why I don't buy every steel that is released now ( 2 kids have a factor of course) from zavvi (who I think hAve over saturated the uk market with steels). Rant over.

Can I ask everyone some advice? My Zavvi woes continue.

I bought a steelbook a couple of weeks ago which had a scratch on the back under the J card. Arranged a return for a refund in the usual way and chased them up as per usual once I knew they'd received the return. I was told a refund had been issued by two of their Autobots and over a week later there's nothing on my credit card statement. I asked them again where the refund is and just got this response:

Thank you for getting in touch about your refund.

I am really sorry, unfortunately you will not be refunded as your product has been used and damaged. The returned product need to be in pristine unused condition as it is stated on our return terms and condition.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Petr

What the flying F??!! So are they no longer refunding returns now? And do they just keep it and keep my money? Were the other Autobots lying about having issued my refund?

Can anybody help with a problem I have, ordered both Kill Bill's and got a despatch e-mail 29/04 for both, received vol. one about 3 days later but no sign of vol. two, checked my despatch e-mail again and it mentioned it could be delivered any time up to 10/05. As of 11/05 no sign of the second steel so i sent an e-mail to Zavvi asking were my item was. Got a reply back from them today 15/05 asking me to confirm my address which has been the same one listed n their system since I started ordering from them years ago, if the item had been given to and signed for by any other member of the household or by a next door neighbour. Had the item been delivered it to either of these two it would have been handed across and also I think any item I have ever received from Zavvi has never been sent with a tracking number or requiring a signature upon delivery. Anyway just wondering if anybody has had this type of problem before and what the outcome was, thanks

Here's an interesting development, I had to return a dented steelbook the other week, and I got a ROYAL MAIL returns label, OK, I should say a link to the RM website where you enter details such as RA number/order number and it gives you a tracked label to print off.

So am I to presume, they no longer use Collect+ for returns ?, if so, I'm so happy, I couldn't stand using that service, having to use a Post Office is such a relief.

I did notice the address is slightly different to the returns note address, but, it got back to zavvi without issues. I wonder if this is a permanent change? hope so.

I have found there is what I would assume is a glitch in Zavvi's system when switching between currencies, some titles go up in price and some go down when I choose either GBP or USD. For example A History of Violence is 9.99 GBP but a mere 7.98 USD and Island of Lost Souls is 6.99 GBP but it goes up to 18.63 USD. Very strange.

The pricing in different currency is an interesting one. You might be lucky and save a few £s or $s!

I found I can't cancel my preorders online, and so I emailed zavvi explaining the problem and asked them to cancel it for me.

To Zavvi's credit, they did email me on a sunday morning.

I love those copy and paste emails. They said.

'I am sorry to hear that you want to cancel this. We will request this straight away and then send you an email to let you know if it has been successful.
Did you know you can try to cancel an order yourself online?'

Yes Zavvi, I do know, and I did try...

Had some very frustrating months with Zavvi, their being a bit rough with handling my steelbooks or quality control is sucking more, 50% arriving ok and the other 50% damaged so not having much luck, some of these are pre-orders too.

It doesn't look like Royal Mail or my Postman are at fault, the usual white box is not damaged, not sure I want to buy much from them anymore, I already slowed it down this year, better off buying from other retailers when they are selling them. I already heard here how Zavvi close some accounts, some without notice even, I have returned for genuine reasons but you never know with this company how they will behave or treat customers.

I can not cancel an order on zavvi. When trying to cancel I see this message:

Sorry
Oops, our fault!
Please click here to return to the home page.

I got this today, tried it on safari, Firefox and Internet explorer but get this message each time, does anyone know how to fix it, or have they reached the insanity point where you can't cancel orders now?
