Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

They really need to keep copies for damages the amount that end up damaged and then they don't have anymore as they have sold like every copy before they are even released

Why is it a few hours after I buy something Zavvi offer discount codes? Third time this has happened to me this month.

Sometimes I think this company likes to punish customers.

LOL, well, there are also 1000's of customers for any one of these retailers. When is a 'good time' to issue a code...people are buying something every minute?

Yep that's EXACTLY what they have done! this isn't holding a few back. The comment on their site was right they have held back a quarter of the stock in order to sell at higher prices charging postage fee's knowing full well they will sell out.

Beat me to it, they asked him to go and meet them at MCM and talk about what to include in the scheme.
I wonder if the mods who talk to zavvi can try and see if HDN can get some input on the scheme.

Did any of you ever received an empty box with no steelbook inside?

This just happened to me. Yesterday I received a box where the Moon steelbook was supposed to be. Box looked intact but very light. I knew something wasnt right so I took pictures as I opened it and indeed, no steelbook inside. After opening its hard to close it the way it was before so I am thinking this was a mistake in shipping dept.

Messaged them right away, no answer yet.

Do you guys think it will be hard to prove to them that I really didnt receive the steelbook?

@entreri So far they've only asked for photos so I've send them pics (before opening and after). Will keep you posted.

@entreri I got two responses from them. First was a return form which I think they send by mistake and second email is saying they will be sending me a replacement copy soon. Hopefully they will send it soon. Cant wait for that steelbook.

Recent practices have rubbed me the wrong way. Of course the Maleficent Muckup, but also the Moon release.

I understand that all artwork is subject to change, but in the past they've updated the listing so the consumer can see the change. The Maleficent release seems like they feared people would cancel, so they chose not to update the listing.

The random 900 showing up on their eBay outlet at a higher price when it has been sold out for months was a nice little FU to people who had missed out on the initial availability. Even at a 4000 print run, that's almost 25% of the entire run that magically reappeared. I don't think they would've reappeared on the official site had people not complained about it.

The thing that bothers me about Moon is the price. Don't get me wrong £12.99 is a great price. But when it was released, that was special 24 hour only special pricing, and then it would be regularly priced at £17.99. And to this day the price has never changed from £12.99. It feels like they wanted to create a false sense of urgency, losing out on the special 1 day only pricing, in hopes of it selling out. Unfortunately, it back fired and caused some people to cancel their preorders, calling Zavvi's bluff of a higher price and anticipating the inevitable price drop.

I feel disrespected as a consumer. Like Zavvi can deliver you an entirely different design than they showed, and lie about special promotions and I'm just going to accept it and throw my money away.

Zavvi are a farcical company I really wish like amazon would get more exclusives surely they are a bigger company than zavvi and could afford to get more exclusives. I am at my wits ends with zavvis 'customer service'

Once again Zavvi screw up. I should be used to it by now, but somehow I'm not. Somehow my order containing some in stcok items as well as 2 preorders for the Beauty and the Beast Zavvi Steelbook is stuck in the system, and I'm told that the order will be cancelled. This has happened before. I really don't want to go ebay hunting once more, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
