Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

You DID. There was a T2 Zavvi Exclusive first. That disappeared fairly quickly then Terminator 3 was there for a bit.

I read something about being a possible hoax-that they hadn't been confirmed by anyone via Twitter or FB.

Oh ok I just saw the little stunt that guy pulled over ranting about HDN getting early info on steelbooks. Lol WTF? Such a shame as a limited T3 UK steel would no doubt be an instant winner and high potential for grail status.

Even though I think zavvi are releasing too may steelbooks it doesn't really bother me as I just pick the ones that interest me.

I won't be buying most of the current announcements however I do wish they would reduce their prices and I really wish they would announce some new movies instead of releasing so many old titles !

I bought my black swan steelbook copy on Tuesday, and it arrived Monday. Very surprised because of the fast shipping compared to many orders I have placed from Europe and around the world. Also, great package.

If it's part of an offer or with a discount code then the only way to cancel the item is to raise a query via your account. Happened to me last week.

Not sure what would happen if cancelling the item meant the code should no longer be valid though.

Yeah 3 items in the order, one has been dispatched and the other 2 are released later in the year. Cancelling the other 2 will mean the whole order total drops below the £40 of the discount code offer. I presume I'm screwed.

Does anyone know how many times Zavvi will try to take payment in a 24 Hour Period ?
Im just under £1 short for the Aladdin Steelbook, but get paid tomorrow, i got an email asking me to call them but of course the number doesnt really exist, so ive emailed them in the hope i dont get it cancelled

Well, I just got two different answers for my return request. The first guy said that I could send them the receipt for the postage costs and I'll get that as well. The other guy said that they can only give me £2.00 because sending the item back from Germany to UK would cost them too much.

Very strange... Curious where this leads to. :movie:

I suppose the worst that would happen is that they may charge you the £1-2 that you saved on the shipped item by using the coupon. So nothing too harsh really (assuming you don't mind paying full price for that one thing).

On the other hand you may well end up saving that money regardless. Guess it depends on who deals with the query. Good luck.

I have just cancelled £60 worth of orders from Zavvi, their rip off prices are just draining my enjoyment of collecting steelbooks to be honest.

i made a complaint about withnail and i which i ordered 2 times and only arrived once.
the dispatch date was 30/05
i received an email saying...
''I am really sorry to hear that your order was not complete upon arrival.
A replacement copy of "Taxi Driver - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook (Includes UltraViolet Copy) [Blu-ray]" has been requested and you should receive a confirmation email as soon as the goods are dispatched.''
