Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

just got 4€ refund for my (very tiny) spine slash on the "jungle book" steelbook.

i have still no complaints about zavvi and their costumer service, they always answered sooner or later and were always open to find a way of compensation if something went wrong before.

but if they improve their quality control before sending out the items, i think this would save them a lot of money and us costumers a lot of annoyance.

So all my 4 Jungle Book Steelbooks have arrived now :angry:

Anyway I contacted them and I hope this will be resolved soon.

That’s awful. I can’t believe they are still trying to palm these off on people.

I don’t wish to make you feel worse, but as far as refunds go, it’s now been 14 days since I returned my spine slashed copy and I’m still waiting.
 
Finally customer service read my messages and refunded for the second copy of Close Encounters which was returned with the first copy almost 3 weeks ago.

Now I need to re-return the Evil Deads though I only received Evil Dead 2 and not Evil Dead 2013. Awful customer service all round. If they continue to run like this I am sure they will shutdown shop.
 
Got Evil Dead 2, Evil Dead, Jungle Book and Place Beyond The Pines all in mint condition. Methinks I have a guardian angel.

(Bear in mind I'm not happy, having a thought process like this about a retailer in the first place is ridiculous)

hehe I know man, I'm done with Zavvi mainly because of their poor customer service, it's just plain awful, I have now cancelled my last 3 preorders I never thought I will Indiana Jones :ohno:
