With recent discussions I thought it would be good to set up a thread for low print runs on metal packaging. Steelbooks, Iron Packs, Vivas etc are all game

Please chime in with what you know and I will aim to keep this thread as up to date as possible. I guess if we stick to under 4k units per release for now and then we can make a call if we want to include 4k at a later date. They don't have to be different or unique artwork and I'm not focusing on value, so this is about the lowest numbers released either by country or through retailer exclusives.

I haven't gone thru the whole list.But,i would say at least half of the titles share the SAME DESIGN from other countries.This makes a big difference for collectors like myself.Some of those titles aren't generating any real value simply because of that fact.The list should be edited to show an ASTERISK next to the title if and only if there were NO other release with the SAME EXACT DESIGN...Now these are the ones to really have in your collection.

The reason I didn't add the Zavvi version is that I can't see anywhere that their original run was 4k. If someone can find that info then I'll add it, but as they have shouted about the print run on all their other steels I am not sure whether 7P was 4k to start with

I'm not trying to go back on my word but I'm gonna throw a question out there to get your / peoples thoughts, as I've been debating whether this gets added now

If Zavvi's exclusive was originally 4k print run, then does anything they do with stock thereafter mean that their exclusive was less than 4k at any stage? I mean given that their aim was to sell that stock regardless then that's what they are doing with the 4k run

My feeling is that the Zavvi exclusive 4k run that they committed to remains at 4k all the way. But I'm sure there will be a few opinions which I'm keen to listen to

I remember a few years ago seeing a G2 Eragon blu ray steelbook - possibly a sample steelbook on ebay - it generated quite a lot of interest on here, as for quantity I have never seen another so think thats pretty darned limited
