I have to say, we get a new forum member, who has gone out of their way to post pics of an elusive Steelbook, and they get met with a somewhat disinterested response by some.

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll have better interaction from many more passionate collectors soon enough.

Many thanks @Dillydally for all the info and for taking the time to post photos for our benefit; I, for one, am very grateful. I had no idea that this steelbook existed until I saw your post.

Welcome to the forum, by the way :).

I agree, it's awesome to actually see in hand pictures one of the true grails of the steelbook world.

Thanks Dillydally for taking the time and effort to share pictures with us

When this first reared its head I got it confirmed long ago with scanavo that what took place was legit with all parties involved. It's real deal.

Swarovski crystals are just cheap bits of glass. You could make one yourself if you really wanted this monstrosity!

CHEEP ???? you ever shopped in thire ? . OR look through a pair of thire binoculars ? . Cheepist is £400 quid upto £2000 . Have a look at the nature programs at what the presenters have hanging round thire necks you will be in for a shock . A name and reputation to protect 120 years Dude thire doing something right customer service 2nd to none .

Haha...Price is what ever a Hardcore Collector would pay...True value would be for the resale of the crystals which I'm guessing isn't a lot...Maybe zero worth.

Hubswell my mum is obsessed with the stuff thire is a fair amount in money in them thire crystals honey

MEGA fair .

And steelbooks are just cheap sheets of tin and slipcovers are just cheap pieces of paper. If this is your actual thought process, then you're on the wrong forum.

This thing looks beautiful. Nice score @Dillydally

Was just remarking that Swarovski crystals aren't terribly valuable and that this could be done yourself if you were so inclined. You can't really make your own Steelbook can you?
