I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

They will take ages to respond. Even if they respond, the returns process is going to be painfully slow. I returned 2 damaged Steels to them on the 11th by tracked delivery (pre-paid postage). I am sure they were delivered but not signed-for by the person who received it. This means electronic proof of delivery is not available in Royal Mail website and the status is not updated. I already contacted them but in vain. My worst ever experience was a month and a half wait for a refund.

And this is why I can't order from them. Finding Nemo would've been nice to have but I have no intention since they'll be shipped in those cardboard envelopes. When will they learn...

ordered Maltese Falcon-took 10 days to arrive-in a cardboard sleeve but no damage-ordered Looper steelbook-posted 4th Feb-nothing-ordered ParaNorman 3d on 6th Feb-arrived 16th Feb before Looper-had to send a disclaimer to Zaavi about the missing Looper stock-which was addressed to my work place so I could confirm it had arrived-still heard nothing. Zaavi-sort yourselves out please!!!:hilarious:

---------- Post added at 12:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:02 AM ----------

have pre-booked WFRR, Star Trek & End of Watch-if this Looper issue doesn't sort itself out may cancel end of watch & order elsewhere-what's the point in calling yourself the new' Home of steelbooks' if your delivery and customer service is p**s poor?!?

When I see all the problems of reception with their packaging, I'm really worried about the steelbooks to come... :( Hope that the new packaging will arrive soon...

Thats paint ruboff is not from the packaging. I got 100% damage on my order this week. All my Goldeneye, Wolverine, and cant remember the last all had massive rubboff on the corners. They have yet to respond.

How does the paint rubboff on the corners happened then?
So that means they've been sending out damaged steelbooks.....

Paint chips are not uncommon with Steelbooks. Not every Steelbook goes through a 360 degree scan prior to packaging. But it is still an imperfection that could be bothersome to some. For those who are not OCD, if a paint chip is on a Steelbook with black finish just fill it with a permanent black marker.

Zavvi can kiss my ass. They just cancelled all my pre-orders and there response was they did it because they don't want to risk damage anmd they will only sell in the U.K. now. No Roger Rabbit or Star Trek for me I guess. That pisses me off. They sent out crap steelbooks and this is how they repay someone.

I just cant believe this is how they conduct business. They cancelled every order. Time to rake them over the coals. Wreck!!!!!

Why i'm not suprised. They've probably received numerous complaints from customers overseas regarding shipping to a point where they simply had it. I even contacted a member in the UK to help me out on these and his response was don't even bother. I just dont get it...unless eveybody cancels there orders Zavvi will keep shipping in those cardboard envelopes. Improved shipping isn't gonna happen if they decide to neglect the US or anywhere else.

I think we will just have to wait and see if they cancel other members orders in the US. That will be the confirmation that what happend to Chip is going to happen for all US orders.

Nothing would surprise me from Zavvi though.

As I have orders outstanding with Zavvi and am in the UK, the above will hopefully have no bearing on my orders. However I would draw overseas members' attention to Zavvi's Terms and Conditions especially 1,2 and 9, and also to their Delivery Options page.

I think one if the things that stands out in the terms & conditions as posted by Surfury is (The Products sold on the Website are not for re-sale or distribution) .
I think that Zavvi are aware that people are reselling their Steelbooks on eBay and are trying to limit this from happening by controlling the size of individual orders.

Was browsing Zavvi, loaded my basket with some steels then decided to come here and take a look. I would've regretted purchasing from them if it wasn't for this thread.

It's truly sad that a lot members had to experience their crap but I'm also thankful for all the posts and comments.
