It don't bother me mate because I won't find this info out any other way as I don't use all of the site apart from a few sections (and hate it when stuff gets moved to retailer threads personally) but I meant my post being taken the wrong way by snoo lol

I find out about all new steels through HDN but I didnt mean like that

Fair dos, they must be some specific online searches lol

Obviously there are people who know people who work for these retailers and basically I just assumed some people have mates who work for these companies and find out about new releases that way and then start a thread. Except when Zavvi announce something on Twitter and things like that when they give hints etc

Also there has been a few times we have found out about a possible steel from Zavvi by memebers and the info shouldn't of been released yet so I'm guessing they were in house leaks to their mates who then come on here. Idk I'm just guessing but I reakon I'm not far off in some cases

I know there are people who receive insider info, but there must also be a keyword or something you can search on Google to bring up the right results... Snoo posts new steels for a number or different retailers, so unless he's FBI then the Google trick is the only thing I can think of lol.

I was only going to add that I can't understand how Google would help with a release that we can't even find on Zavvi that's not been released (only items that have been actually sold out) but I suppose it works the same way but surely you need to know the name of the title. If there is a keyword like you mentioned then I would love to know it lol.

Yeah he usually posts Zavvi / uk in general or French (from what I've noticed and maybe the odd other country)
I still think he gets told about them.
Otherwise that's a lot of time taken up in a day searching for stuff and I still think a Google search would need to be more specific to the title name.
anyway this is getting deep lol I've always wondered how some people are in the know unless they work for that retailer.

I do love it when info gets leaked from Zavvi and we are not supposed to know about it lol

Ordered the Imitation game a week ago, still no dispatch... Maybe they are going to cancel my order and bring it back for a higher price? Would not be the first time...

Ordered the On Her Majesty's Secret Service steelbook on saturday evening but decided to cancel it shortly after but zavvi's system wouldn't allow me to. I sent them a message and received a reply stating the order had entered the processing in warehouse stage and could not be cancelled. The status remained the same until tuesday, when it was then dispatched and I received an email saying Zavvi would send instructions regarding returning the item.
however, on receiving the item, I relented, and decided to keep it. BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!! On opening it, i discovered a dent down one edge with bending to the steelbook and a cracked tray inside. I am now awaiting a reply from Zavvi regarding a return for a full refund.
What a disaster!!

I only just got my despatch email for this first thing this morning. It took a while.

I've got a weird one. I received a damaged Edward Scissorhands steel. I emailed Zavvi and they said "As this is a limited edition, we are unable to send you out a replacement." Has anyone been told this? The item is still available to order, so there should be stock.

As I said earlier today in The Mist thread, I've now given up on zavvi releases completely. I won't put up with the pathetic standard of steelbook releases any longer so I'm boycotting them indefinitely.

Guys, good luck collecting your bargain basement steels, and I'm truly sorry for those that stick rigidly to UK only releases - you guys really are getting a ****** deal and I strongly advise you to look further afield if you want any sort of quality to add to your collections.

Hope someone can help with this, as getting a quick/reasonable answer out of Zavvi is like pulling teeth.

I got a damaged Edward Scissorhands. Trying to arrange a replacement. I've been sent a returns label and also been instructed to go to the Royal Mail website to produce my own returns label. I've printed out both but now I have 2 different postage labels. Which should I use?

Is the label on the bottom right the one that's included on the return form?

I kind of recognise it but i just always include the return form inside the package without cutting anything off.

Im guessing they no longer use collect labels then. They was so much easier plus my Royal Mail closes at random times each day!!
