I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

What problems have you had with them exactly? I've been using them for years, and the same (very helpful and friendly) delivery driver has been coming throughout that period.

last 2 packages that i have been shipped through Herpes has been lost, worst company around.

If I lost my package due to Herpes I'd be straight down the doctors!!

It seems Hermes are really hit and miss depending on your local driver. My delivery driver is a lovely lady but a bit clumsy. Last time she walked up the driveway she dropped the bottom parcel (from Play) and then trod on it Fortunately the packaging did the trick

Apart from that I've only had good experiences when they've delivered. I expect the ever increasing Royal Mail costs have led Zavvi to use them

Wow, 5 days, you are lucky mate. They took a week to reply to my missing Monster's Inc 3D order that was shipped by Herpes on 01/Mar/2013 saying they are investigating with the courier but there is no tracking number displayed on the package despite the Track Order button.

From my personal experience contacting through Message Centre is the best. At least they reply. Contacting via e-mail is rarely responded.

How about delivery times? They have still sucked for me lately.

You can say that again. I ordered Con-Air the 7th, and it arrived yesterday (21-03). Now .. when I order from Amazon.UK, or any seller at Ebay from the UK .. I get it within a week (I live in the Netherlands, 3 miles from the German border). Sometimes even within a few working days.
Although there was a time that I waited for more then 3 weeks. Hopefully they will decrease these times. If Amazon, or just a random marked seller online can do it .. Zavvi can do it also.

As for the package; looks great. Until this day I've been lucky with Zavvi and sending stuff, everything has arrived in good condition. At least .. what I saw. But for how long ?
Now with the upcoming package .. very long Thx

Yup, better than HMVs! I held off ordering steels internationally from HMV cause I always had bad luck. Feel more comfortable now.

Sounds like the younger brother to play.com's packaging but something is better than nothing. Great news to all and a big thank you to Wreck it Zavvi.
