Hey NINJAS! Days of Future Past hasn't even been released and it looks like a sequel has been announced! EEK!

In a surprise move, Bryan Singer today revealed the title of the next chapter of 20th Century Fox's popular X-Men franchise. May 27, 2016 will see the release of X-Men: Apocalypse!

Apocalypse, created by Louise and Walter Simonson, made his debut in X-Factor #6. The world's first mutant, En Sabah Nur was born in Egypt around 3,000 BC and used advanced technology to make himself an eternal conquerer, believing whole heartedly in survival of the fittest.

The character's most popular storyline, "The Age of Apocalypse," ran in the X-Men books beginning in 1995. Set in a paralell reality formed by interference to the timeline, "The Age of Apocalypse" saw Xavier murdered before he could form the X-Men. Instead, a very different take on the team began with Magneto leading them through a post-apocalyptic America ruled by mutants.

Since next summer's X-Men: Days of Future Past involves a time travel storyline, it's likely that a filmic take on "The Age of Apocalypse" could spin out of the film's ending.

Following the scanned images that debuted yesterday, Empire has debuted high-quality versions of the X-Men: Apocalypse concept art which you can check out in the gallery below. In addition, they spoke with director Bryan Singer, who talked about the size of the upcoming sequel.

“It’s a big monster of a movie,”
he tells the outlet. “The stakes are so high and global and the villain
is so mythic. It’s definitely an X-Men movie, but it really feels different.”

Singer also spoke about the inclusion of the “young X-Men” that will appear in the film such as Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm, saying:

“They’re as much a part
of the movie as our main cast. Scott is not yet the squeaky-clean leader. Storm is
a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life. And Jean is complex, interesting and not fully mature. It’s fun to see someone struggling with their powers when you know one day they’ll become the most powerful person in the world.”

Looks great!

Apocalypse looks like a blue Egyptian king which he is, so I'm 100% down with it. Honestly, the thin-lip comic look would've looked goofy on the big screen. Also, mohawk Storm and straight-from-the-comic-pages Psylocke! Singer is finally giving the fans what they've wanted for so many years... real costumes.

Tuner looks great as Jean Grey, and the girl playing Jubilee is somehow hot and adorable at the same time.

As far as Storm goes , no one can play the part like Ms.Berry, and that looks like it won't change.Olivia Munn is Meh to me since she used gamers to jump start here career and never looked back, so i couldn't care less about her role or involvement. The rest of the cast looked good, though.I just watched Ex Machinma and can't wait to see more of Oscar Issac.
