I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

I hear all the frustration with Zavvi. That was me a month ago. I made a decision to cancel everything, delete my account and move forward. There is so much out there that you don't need to stick with crap retailers. Vote with your wallet.

What's the point of even having a price guarantee if there are ways to bypass it. Seems shady to advertise it then if it doesn't cover much

No one is forced to buy from zavvi. We all have a choice, least we are getting some quality steelbooks like this one.

And i have to agree with snooloui, any discount isnt covered by the price guarantee. If getting a discount is all your interested in then maybe steelbook collecting isnt for you then imo

I don't care what they write in their terms and conditions to cover themselves. It doesn't change the fact that what they do is wrong. It doesn't change the fact that it makes them the WORST, least customer friendly steelbook retailer IN THE WORLD. They are lying and greedy money wolves!

Exactly. Zavvi has fooled the members of the most dedicated steelbook community with their FAKE DISCOUNT CODE.

You said you had cancelled all your orders, so why do you care or were you lying about that?

At the end of the day, the retailer/manufacturer does get to set the price though, if you don't like it, it's tough luck really.

Zavvi is not acting as a professional retailer, I hope someone at Zavvi listens to the constructive feedback given. As it is now I avoid as much as possible to order (especially pre-order) from Zavvi untill they get their game on.

Ordered a steel then attempted cancel after 38 minutes.
Told it was already shipping and couldn't be cancelled.

Happened to me once too, but mine was only after 5 minutes. They shipped the item around 48 hours later

I just had this problem, now I have two copies of Anchorman and Gremlins on the way. I guess it's my own fault really, at least Zavvi replied swiftly to tell me I couldn't cancel.

Same thing happened for me for The Little Mermaid. Learned that if it's in stock, you most likely won't be able to cancel it (I tried canceling mine literally a minute after placing the order).

There is a lot of negativity about zavvi currently and there practices, well if there that bad go and get ur steelbooks fron China or Korea as in sure you won't have any issues with those!

Seriously we all make our own choice personally I don't think Zavvi's customer service is great but really appreciate having some lovely steelbooks in my collections thanks to then so if you are quibbling over what you pay for wreck it ralph go and pay £50 for BluFans edition.!
