I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

Plus they would be legally bound to honour the order and not just cancel it when it suits them.
I only have 2 pre orders with Zavvi, I am so glad I am no longer bound by them. At one point I must have had 25+ pre orders with them! but then I thought **** it I will wait for the inevitable price decimation. Have The Wolf Of Wall Street pre ordered as I got it for just over £19 but if amazon restock and sell it cheaper that pre order is canceled without delay.

Also is it just me or have Zavvi quiet ended down a bit lately? Maybe those end of year figures weren't as good as they'd hoped for.

Hardly quiet but there is a noticeable difference in output that could make it seem so, they're currently focusing on these new ultra limited print runs, i.e Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, V for Vendetta, Texas Chainsaw and the upcoming 3:10 to Yuma, Cop Land, Scream, Swingers.
I doubt it's to do with figures though their spokesperson mentioned the ultra limited thing last year.

I hadn't even realised but my account says I have 800+ points - but when I try to use them it says I have 164 points 'available' - do they limit how many you can use??

I really hope Zavvi starts charging correct shipping charges for other regions as well and improve the packaging for importers at the same time.

Btw, Prices are going up for us in the UK starting 31st March.

Does anybody know how fast Zavvi are at responding to Querys?
They emailed me this morning saying there was a problem taking the payment for my Frozen pre-order, so I updated/added new card details this morning. I tried calling the telephone number that was in the email, and it just says "go to our website" and then cuts you off. I called the eBay outlet at someone elses suggestion, saying they were able to resolve a problem on a Zavvi.com order, but that didn't work either, they just said they would pass my information on. I am aware that the stock is low, and I don't want to have to cancel and re-order, and potentially miss out...

Once updating your payment information, it can take anywhere from 1 to 24 hours (in my few recent experiences) for them to re-process your order and send you a dispatch email.

If you need to actually contact them, some people have previously posted that contacting their customer service via Facebook or Twitter gets faster service.

Thanks. I've sent a message via both so hopefully someone sees it an actions it! Just thought it was incredibly frustrating to send an email with a contact telephone number that's useless! Why even bother?

So I tried placing an order yesterday but when I checkout my country (Philippines) isn't listed in their dropdown menu. After emailing them they replied that they no longer deliver here. Odd, I had ordered lots of times from them before. Anyone else having the same problem of zavvi no longer delivering to their countries?

Zavvi has increased its Delivery charge

It showed me the 14.99 option for shipping two copies of Captain America:TWS, but I noticed the little note stating that if you wanted their discount shipping, you had to place separate orders.

By ordering one and one I was able to have each shipped for .99

So, yeah, they have increased across the board technically, as before I could have had 10 in the same order coming out at the same time shipped for .99 but now it is .99 each.

I think they could have still allowed a .99 shipping option each, but they also want to break the orders up so that you can't use a discount code on an entire batch, but will now only be able to do so on a single steelbook. Smart, on their part.

Still, a really fair shipping fee to Japan, so I am not unhappy.

Everything still ships from same place but I know some people have done work-arounds by ordering from other zavvi sites. ie. Zavvi.es

Once that is all shut down tho I guess you are forced to join like NM's GroupBuy

I think they are blacklisting many countries due to high volume of missing claims. A business cannot survive for long by offering low cost shipping unless the cost price includes that.

We really need a retailer venting thread. As I'm a man of principal, I resisted buying anything from the flashsale as they were cheaper with the code before Zavvi pulled it. I wasn't quick enough! You guys don't know hard that is for me to fight

Such a shame seeing everyone getting all these awesome steels, wanted City of God, Warrior etc, would've been a £5 saving! I'm not rich enough to throw out money like that. Thanks Zavvi, tight-fisted so and so's.

My 101 Datamations steelbook is 4 days late. I know it says wait 30 days after date set for delivery for those over seas before contact. Should I worry.

No, I wouldn't worry...yet.

I've had steels arrive from them anywhere between 4 days and 3-4 weeks. Must be a random customs issue that holds up some of these shipments.
