Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

Possible criteria as to what makes a steelbook rare/hard to find:

* Availability at retailer & exclusivity
* Print run
* Country of origin & region code
* Steelcase design
* (Initial) price
* Individually numbered items
* Print Errors
* Hype
* Price on 3rd party marketplaces

Is there any way to get a more up to date list maybe voted on by the members as a whole....i think this list is great but maybe getting a conensus from every member will give the most universally accurate list...alos maybe we could seperate it into levels of rarity from the likes of FS ironman and John Rambo vs something that we feel is rare but still not impossible to find or 1000 dollars. Something like a blufans FMC and Reel Steel or thor which are becoming much much harder to find....just an idea but i feel like it could benefit every member new and old. This post is really not meant to piss anyone off, its just an idea that i hope the forum takes to.

The update news is amazing...i just saw a zombieland steel go for 52 USD but it had some dents and was open and just wasnt in great condition...I passed on it bc i have no desire for it but i wonder how much value is killed by bad condition????

I can confirm, this steelbook was exclusive to Fnac Stores.
