*PLEASE NOTE: This list is a 'guide' only and compiled based on a variety of factors including community 'feedback' and 'suggestions'. Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

* Print run
* Country of origin & region code
* Steelcase design
* (Initial) price

* Price on 3rd party marketplaces

you might want to add John Carter FS Exclusive Steelbook to the list, it is getting a decent buck on eBay, may not have been the best movie but there's a few other turds in the list already :)

I picked it up for about $80 a few weeks back, but it is being offered for about $100 by others.

Personally I liked the movie (i kept in mind it was a Disney flick) but there is no accounting for taste :)
 
The Zombieland german steelbook is currently listed on amazon.de for 14.99€ - or is that another version?

That's the re-release, mate. Though, of course, the value of the original release has suffered a little due to this re-release. But the quality and finishing of the first release is....different.

IMO, none of the E.T.s deserve to be in the list. Not yet, anyways. The most likely one is gonna be the JP one, has a booklet etc, but it's not OOP yet.

That's the 2nd print on Amazon.de

Though the two steels look similar, but the 1st print had a slip (J Card) and a clean back. But this one has the FSK sticker on the front due to the absence of a slip and a printed back. Though it's good for those who missed it in the first place but I'm personally not in favor of re-releases ;).

none of these are hard to find, ebay has multiple listings for all of these
 
There are 11 copies on ebay.de - there always are. Completed auctions are between 42 and 50 Euros. Reportedly over 20.000 copies of this steelbook have been printed. It might be sold out in MM, but it really is not hard to find at all...
