'Rare'/'Limited'/'Hard(er)' To Find SteelBook/Other Metal Eds List & Chat

*PLEASE NOTE: This list is a 'guide' only and compiled based on a variety of factors including community 'feedback' and 'suggestions'. Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

List updated. Great suggestions everyone! On Tron Legacy (DE), lets see what happens with this one. The retailer has the Steelbook listed as '1st Edition'. This could mean a re-release is already planned. These things are always tricky, but lets keep this one on the radar for now.

Hi Biscuit-thanks. We'll need to leave this on there as we're including 'harder' (in title) to get Steelbooks. Since FS does not ship to most areas, and not all FS stores have a remaining stock of this Steelbook, it's still a little harder for people outside of Canada to get it unless they rely on Ebay/trades. Feel free to list extra copies in your trade thread if you can help!

Believe it or not, I've been to a store a couple of weeks ago and they had 13 copies. Most stores that I go to still have 2 copies of it to say the least. I don't think a lot of people are going to buy it, especially now that they are selling those action combo boxsets for $19.99 for 2 or 3 movies and that The Town is part of them. I myself still have 4 copies of the steel left I think and it doesn't gather that much interest

Ebay sellers usually ask $50-75 for the title, so even if in stores, unfortunately most people outside of Canada still can't access it. Hopefully any remaining collectors will be able to get a copy from one of our Canadian members at a reasonable cost!

$50 on eBay is actually a very very good price. This bad boy retails for $39.99 + tax = a few cents shy of $46. Add the fact that most stores that have it are located outside of the city, with the insane price of gas + eBay listing + fees + paypal fees, $50 is actually a steal (no pun intended ).

You maybe able to get it but here in the UK Future shop releases we have to pay between $50-$80

The Town will definitely gain steam, it reminds me of Watchmen FS. Started out hott! - Fizzled out for a while ... then all of a sudden, its a big want and valued high. I think The Town can surpass the demand of Watchmen too. imo.
