*PLEASE NOTE: This list is a 'guide' only and compiled based on a variety of factors including community 'feedback' and 'suggestions'. Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

Wouldn't have thought so Elena, can still get it at Amz.de for €12.99 and I didn't think it had been re-released. Der Nebel is of course being re-released soon though.

Looking through the list, I see the Star Trek (UK) Steelbook, but not the Futureshop version. Is the UK version that much harder to find compared to the Futureshop version?

Keeblur-I've added the FS version to the list-this one may be slightly more expensive than the Play version, as FS Exclusives have generally increased in price over time, and Play versions can still be found third party at Play, while Ebay tends to inflate values. But I purchased at launch, so I've not kept up with their present values, truthfully. Thanks!

I'm probably gonna get shot down in flames by a lot of folks but should Underworld Trilogy be on the list now. I am one of those with both original and reprint and feel I lost out on the deal but it was my choice. However it is not really deserving of a place now as we thought would be the case.

I only have the first issue. Is there anything that would distinguish one from the other. Maybe a recycle logo like Rambo, anything. Otherwise its just an exact reprint, and not worthy for the list.

i imported the beauty and the beast steelbook and the the sleeping beauty one.cause i LOVE the films, they weren't easy to find(though maube thats cause i'm in the uk) were these of limited quantity in the states

I'd agree with that as well. Underworld should be off, since it's also readily available from amazon.de still.

I know in the uk its a nightmare to get hold of, especially for a reasonable price. when they do come on ebay, within minutes of being listed they'll have bids pushing the price up to £30+. i kid you not. within MINUTES, then the price just soars. i got lucky picking mine up, £10 from CEX. it felt like a dream when i walked in the shop and picked it up haha
