*PLEASE NOTE: This list is a 'guide' only and compiled based on a variety of factors including community 'feedback' and 'suggestions'. Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

Indeed...only if it's sealed.

Well ... no telling what some of the more rare titles would go for ... like a Gladiator TW sealed (dont know if one exists tho) seeing as how I opened mine. ;p

We are at a different playing field in relation to rare steels, clearly, even when compared to a mere 3 months ago.

Indeed...only if it's sealed.

Even if it's opened but in good condition it can get higher than Iron Man FS SB sealed/mint.

BTW the T2 black premium SB 2.0 SB sealed/mint is being sold for few $xxx less than Rambo

We can't base everything on 'exact' prices. Like I explained in other thread, John Rambo sold for £1020 and paid for by a legitimate buyer doesn't mean it actually sells for those prices as it was very obvious the price was driven up by 'shill bidders'. However, it does show the buyer was willing to fork out over £1000. Next time if this was auctioned with no shill bidders it may sell for £500 - £600 which is still very impressive.

Hello all bit of advice if you will
I'm in the process of trading for some thailand steelbooks so far I have

Terminator salvation
Knight and day
Girl with the dragon tattoo

I may be able to get a final fantasy but its dented maybe opened
Is it worth trading for a play.com iron man mint
Also I should be getting Snow White and the huntsman ,iron man2 and prometheus
Are these what you class as rare titles to say swop for thor , captain America etc...

Thor (HMV), Captain America (HMV) are worth around double to x2.5 an Iron Man 2 (Play) and Prometheus (Play) on ebay anyway.

Is Alien Antho HK rare? Really? I was about to sell mine off....

No, Alien Anthology KR is the rare one of all the releases, same goes for Fight Club KR. The slipcovers that came with it are just BEAUTIFUL, the Hong Kong releases are still available. Trying to get a copy of the Korean release is near impossible.
